EON Secure Chat is designed with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains the main categories of information the service may process and the purposes for doing so. The actual production implementation and applicable law remain authoritative.
Account access may require information such as an email address, user ID, username and profile information for authentication and operation of the service.
EON is designed for protected communication. Storage duration, deletion behaviour and encryption follow the active production configuration. Temporary or disappearing messages are handled according to the settings enabled in the app.
Limited technical information may be processed for reliability and security, such as session information, error information or necessary server logs. EON aims to collect only what is needed for operation and security.
If a user adds a profile photo or profile information, that information may be stored to display the profile within EON.
EON uses security measures intended to reduce unauthorized access and misuse. No internet service can guarantee absolute security or complete untraceability.
Personal data should not be sold. Infrastructure or service providers may be used where required to operate EON, subject to appropriate security and contractual safeguards.
Information should not be retained longer than needed for its purpose unless a legal obligation requires otherwise.
Depending on applicable law, users may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data.
During the test phase, public contact details are not displayed. The official privacy and support channel will be published with the public release.
This policy may be updated when EON features, infrastructure or legal obligations change. The latest update date will be shown on this page.
